These cds have been recorded by Jefferson Gonsalves, one of the most interesting and reputed Brazilian blues musicians, His passion for blues made him to found in 1992 a band called Baseado Em Blues and some time later a blues duo with guitar player Big Joe Manfra called Blues Etc These three cds present a bunch of good very technical musicians who show they really know the music they are playing Jefferson Gonsalves on harp gives a precise rich performing with some Sugar Blue influences specially on musical phrasing You will find along the three cds original tunes together with versions coming from Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon or Robert Johnson, which sound cool and relaxed although all musicians have done a big rehearsal and structured work which does not give a lot of space for improvisation I am sure these cds will certainly captivate a wide audience and will also show blues does not have boundaries
