Barcelona Blues Society celebrates its 20th. Anniversary in October 18th 2025 with an unique and exclusive show with Nick Moss & The SBB Blues Combo!!
Barcelona Blues Society goes all out with a fabulous celebration show with the one and only NICK MOSS, who comes directly from Chicago only to play exclusively for the SBB Anniversary.
Born in 1969, Moss made a name for himself playing bass for bluesman Jimmy “Fast Fingers” Dawkins. Dawkins encouraged Nick to take the plunge and unleash all his energy and passion. A short time after, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith got in touch with him and offered to join his Legendary Blues Band. Smith convinced Moss that he had to change bass for guitar. Later on, Chicago blues icon Jimmy Rogers (whose best-known songs include “Walking By Myself”, “That’s All Right” and “Ludella”) hired Moss as his tour guitar player, becoming his mentor and teaching him during those long trips all the blues secrets and the bluesmen lifestyle. Today, his passionate and soulful voice, together with his incendiary guitar solos and his memorable original songs, place him among the outstanding 21st century blues names.
With a long career, he has performed at the world’s best blues festivals, has released thirteen albums and is currently one of the artists of Alligator Recors label. He has been nominated 21 times for the Blues Music Awards. and with his band, The Nick Moss Band, he has become a benchmark of actual blues.
Nick Moss will be backed by the SBB BLUES COMBO with Balta Bordoy, guitar, Mike Shannon, harmonica, Oriol Fontanals, double bass and Olivier Rocque, drums
Besides, to start the anniversary celebration there will be a small photographic compilation about the the SBB 20 years
