From Denver, Colorado, comes the new Babaux And The Peacemakers’ recording. A cool infectious album with a sound that sometimes is quite similar to dirty greasy rockin’ blues, but also full of nuances coming from roots music, besides other musical styles. The band includes Cristian Basso (Babaux) on vocals, dobro and composer, Eric Martínez on guitars, Niek Velvis on bass and Alana Velvis on drums.

Although Babaux began his musical career as a bass player, he has become a dobro passionate. According to his own words, this instrument has changed the perception he had so far, not only about composition but also in the way he vocally approaches the band repertoire.

The album presents eleven own songs ranging from Louisiana bayous swamp blues, to acoustic funk, or even seventies vintage sound of Lauren Canyon’s area bands and musicians.

Eric, Alana and Niek are also outstanding producers, sound engineers and composers, something that will immediately be appreciated in each of the album songs development, where each musicians show his own musical sensibility.
