Atomic Road Kings is a project developed by two great musicians such as harmonica player Eric Jailhouse Von Herzen, who was a member in the bands of Walter Trout, Kid Ramos and Junior Watson, and young, bright and able multi-instrumentalist Big Jon Atkinson, guitar player in Kim Wilson’s solo band Both musicians are surrounded by a good and well respected cast of musicians who know blues well, like the rhythmic section with Bill Stuve on bass and double bass and Malachi Johnson on drums, besides some other guests With these credentials, it is easy to check this just released album is full of good and pleasant moments Also the album has been recorded with a completely vintage gear of the 40’s and 50’s with analogue sound to in this way capture the genuine nuances and the real sound of those songs that were performed in those years, so the result cannot be other that twelve intense and very satisfying blues full of a true passion and a tempered playing that will undoubtedly capture and captivate a wide range of listeners This is a Chicago blues recording that, as it can not be otherwise, most blues fans will positively appreciate for the quality of the all the musicians involved in the project
