Excellent work coming from singer and guitarist Arsen Shomakhov and the rest of musicians who back him in this spectacular album entitled Dynamic Shomakhov shines at a very high level in each and every one of the cd songs, he has a surprising touch and both his tone and phrasing are superb Arsen Shomakhov plucks his guitar strings with very good taste and he is always exquisite in his music exposure The five musician band sounds teamed, greasy and totally compact, displaying their music with reliability and ability The musicians communicate joy, they do a well performance, show an extreme commitment and even they will move you with their excellent blues performing The band includes Arsen Shomakhov guitar and vocals, Bruce O’Neill, bass and backing vocals, Chip Hart drums and backing vocals, Jerry Cook tenor and baritone sax in three cuts and Dave Webb piano in two cuts and Hammond organ in two more songs The repertoire has been carefully selected to give you joy and the way they display it could not have been done with more taste and delicacy Of the ten cd songs four are Arsen’s own compositions and the rest are curious and rather unknown covers coming from Snooky Pryor, Lou Donaldson, Willie Dixon or Ronnie Earl among others
