Since his early childhood Anthony Geraci knew his life would always be related with piano When he was four years old, he told his parents he needed a piano at home They gave it to Anthony and encouraged him to follow on He began to study at the Neighborhood School of Music in New Haven and at Berklee College of Music in Boston But at the same time Anthony was also receiving another musical education outside the schools With his friend Ed Cherry they listened every day to Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Joe Turner and especially Jimmy Rogers, Anthony deeply admired and worshipped Over the years Geraci has played with the greatest bluesmen, but the most known aspect of his career has been to be a founder and active member of the band Sugar Ray & The Bluetones Recently he has signed for Delta Groove catalogue and this is his first solo album for the label Besides his inseparable Bluetones musicians and friends (Sugar Ray Norcia, Monster Mike Welch, Michael Mudcat Ward and Neil Gouvin), the album also includes some deluxe guests like Marty Richards, Darrell Nulisch, Toni Lynn Washington or Michelle ‘Evil Gal’ Willson Thirteen high voltage blues performed with the special passion, intensity and feeling that always identifies Sugar Ray & The Bluestones sound, in a magnificent musical and stylistic exercise these musicians communicate in all their music, this time led by Anthony Geraci as an incredible master of ceremonies A terrific album!
