This is an historical album as it captures the only known and exclusive ‘live’ recording by the incredible and wonderful soul and rhythm and blues singer Ann Peebles and The Hi Rhythm Section, in a superb show that took place in February 1992 at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee.

Despite having recorded many times together in studio, no other recording of a live show is known, so the value of this album is undeniable. Together with Ann Peebles and The Hi Rhythm Section, that night there was an impressive horn section and the voices of David J. Hudson and Tina Crawford .

If you listen to the nine cd songs, you will immediately realize the concert was a mastery class of soul and rhythm and blues, performed by all the first class musicians who were on stage during that unforgettable night, who developed and communicated the most genuine feeling, magic and a stream of very special sonorities.

Backing the impressive voice of Ann Peebles, The Hi Rythm Section shined at a very high level with Thomas Bingham on guitar, Charles Hodges on keyboards, Leroy Hodges on bass and Howard Grimes on drums. They were a magnificent counterpoint to round off a magical, brilliant, unique and fantastic show, performing the best soul of all times.
