This ginger singer and guitarist aged eighteen is increasing in popularity and striking hard not only into Canadian blues scene but also around USA and now in Europe too Andy Poxon is building up a spectacular career in the international blues circuits Since he published his previous album till now Andy has matured in a very short time, because there is nothing like to be young to learn quickly any subject you want, especially if you do it with interest, devotion, love and commitment This is Andy Poxon’s case and, besides, he also gives us a spectacular powerful and fluid guitar playing with an amazing deep fat tone Andy also mixes different genres like blues, soul, swing, jazz, r&b and country and he does it in a tasteful classic way and a fine technique This album includes fourteen songs that will surprise you for the instrumental vocal qualities of this young artist, as well as for his songwriting abilities Andy signs thirteen of the fourteen tunes and he has also written the fourteenth one together with Duke Robillard, who also plays the guitar and produces the cd The Roomful of Blues horn section give a consistent good support along the whole recording and become a deluxe contribution to round up an album of a young artist who, remember, is only eighteen years old
