Since 2009 Canadian singer, songwriter and guitar player André Bisson has released nine albums. Despite being a prolific musician, during all these years instead releasing more records he has especially devoted his time to composition and to bring his music without any kind of distinctions to all the places he has been booked.

This recording is a tribute to the historic figure of Lucy Stone (1818 – 1893) who was an activist of women’s rights, fighting to get the right to vote for women. Starting with this story, Bisson has built a bunch of songs where he gives us a message that most changes can be difficult but not impossible, and the obstacles life brings us should not be avoided but faced with all our individual strength, because to be afraid is something natural that reminds us the value of the things each one of us fights for.

André Bisson firmly leads with commitment a group of musicians ranging from six to twenty members, along the ten own compositions that make up this album, which become a good example, not only of his skills as a composer but also about the variety of resources and the reliability he approaches this interesting repertoire.
