Amaury Faivre is a singer, guitar and harmonica player who has built up his professional career over genuine acoustic blues basis.
He was born in Besançon, France and he now lives in Switzerland. When he was only eight years old Amaury started to practice with his father’s harmonica and he also began to listen to Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker or Mississippi Fred McDowell among other legendary blues legends. Thanks to Denis Naegely who taught music to young talented students, Amaury expanded his musical horizons, learning to develop more complex harmonies and improvisations mainly based on jazz. He also became a good chromatic harmonica player, as well as guitarist and singer, elements that define his musical personality.
Now with twenty years of career and more than eight hundred shows on his shoulders either with electric band or in duo format, besides reaching the semi-final at the 2018 International Blues Challenge in Memphis and getting the four position representing Switzerland at the European Blues Challenge that took place in Hell (Norway) in 2018, Amaury Faivre releases a solo performing album with eleven original songs that go deep into the roots of folk blues, where he shows his tasteful skills, not only as a singer, but also as a harmonica player, clever composer, guitar player and he even dares with the banjo, mandolin and stomp-box.
This is a recommended recording for its total honesty and performing sincerity.
