Formed in year 2002, Altered Five Blues Band bring us his last work that is also the first one recorded for Blind Pig Records Produced by the Grammy award winner Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy, Susan Tedeschi, George Thorogood, James Cotton…), the album presents a warm and welcomed selection of house rockin’ soul, genuine rhythm and blues and a thrilling hard drivin’ blues, that can be qualified as good, appetizing and savoury, developed and performed with a strong determination The magnificent impressive voice of Jeff Taylor stands out in all songs, a voice that sometimes has been compared with the ones of BB King, Joe Turner or Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland Next to him Jeff Schroedl on guitar, Mark Solveson on bass and double bass, Raymond Tevich on keyboards and the just mentioned Tom Hambridge on drums and percussion get a teamed, effective and strong sound, pulling out the best of the thirteen songs selected for the recording In short words, we are facing an explosive, muscular album, with a 70’s vintage sound which, undoubtedly will captivate a wide majority of listeners
