Amazing debut album by a Brazilian singer and harmonica player, recorded for Richard Chalk’s independent Texas label Black Top Gifted with a deep fat tone and good technique, Alex combines his particular style with Little Walter’s one and he clearly expresses with an extreme knowledge, the most passionate classic blues language Alex Rossi can feel proud to have shared stage with Billy Branch, Carey Bell, Sam Myers or Peter Mudcat among others Some of the outstanding musicians included on the cd, are Phil Guy and Holland K Smith Eleven splendid songs form a powerfui intense record done with passion and feeling with versions of Little Walter, Willie Dixon, Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Duke Ellington or Jimmy Rogers songs A good work with excellent Chicago blues that should not go unnoticed for harmonica blues fans
