Alex Lopez was born in Cleveland, Ohio There he started his musical career playing different rock and blues-rock bands, although he always felt a special attraction by British blues guitar players like Eric Clapton or Jimmy Page His studies took him to Florida where he played in the popular rock band Reminiscion There he became more seriously interested and involved in blues, considering the possibility to start a solo career he has finally managed to carry on This is his fourth album so far where, as its title clearly shows, Alex wants to simply show himself as he is and as is the music he plays His songs move among various styles like British blues, soul, jazzy pop or Texas blues rock that prove Alex Lopez’s voice and guitar have matured since he published his first recording In the album he is backed his usual band including Kenny Hoye on keyboards, Steve Roberts on bass and David Nunez on drums, plus some other guest musicians In short, this is a good recording coming from an artist with a promising future in his hands
