Excellent blues singer with a bit of jazzy flavour It is very strange she has not been well-know in blues field until now, when she is already a mature woman A good singer as Alberta should have recorded before, to let us enjoy so delightful songs as the ones included in this cd She has a charming sweet and velvety voice, pefect to tell us calm, pleasant and sometimes quite sad stories The arrangements and backing band are great too Alberta Adams cannot deny she has been deeply influenced by such great singers like Edith Wilson, Helen Humes and Alberta Hunter
