With this new recording, singer, guitar player and composer Alastair Greene confirms his strength and wide experience, which makes him a real veteran in the blues rock field. He has gained a reputation as one of the artists who, starting from blues and southern rock tradition, has built up a career based on a series of recordings that have been acclaimed by listeners and specialized media.

Ruf Records releases his eleventh album that, according to Alastair, is a step forward in his musical path. In this new recording his aim is to recreate the spirit of the 60’s and 70’s music which has deeply influenced him. Before doing it, he immersed himself in that kind of music, listening to legendary bands like ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix or The Stones, to get the same sound produced at that time.

The album was recorded in Nashville and Austin. He performed eight songs in Nashville, backed by Todd Bolden on bass and Adam Abrashoff on drums and percussion, while the other three songs were recorded in Austin together with Mark Epstein on bass and Kevin Hall on drums. Both teams perfectly understood Greene and the sound the wanted to get from them, to round up an impressive sample of Alastair’s vigorous vitality on guitar with solos that perfectly match with the songs structure.

For many years Alastair Greene was member of Alan Parsons Live Project, which gave him the opportunity to tour often around Europe. Now his solo schedule includes more than 40 dates in Europe, that will help to introduce himself to the audience of this side of the ocean, to get the same status he is now enjoying in USA.
