To celebrate his twenty years active in music scene, Alastair Greene’s trio bring us a double cd with twenty songs, one for each year of career, presenting various original songs which were already released in five of his previous albums, but that are now performed live from the 805 Club in Santa Barbara, California The trio has also selected some versions of songs coming from Jimmy Reed or Albert Collins among others Many times Alastair Green has been compared with Gov’t Mule, Cream or ZZ Top but, this time, it is not entirely true because, although he is not far away from those artists, the selected songs are a little bit closer to Albert Collins, Albert King or even Howlin’ Wolf This does not mean we are facing a double album where the most caustic wild and incendiary rockin’ blues you can imagine prevail and has an outstanding role As songs are going by, the three musicians develop an overwhelming devastating energy Alastair Greene on guitar and vocals, Jim Rankin bass and vocals and Austin Beede on drums celebrate their twentieth anniversary with the strength and vehemence of a young new band, but with the professionalism and experience they have gathered during their long successful career
