This bright excellent “Bittersweet” cd shots him among the best brightest promising new blues musicians outside the United States. The high quality varied musical phrasing and a fine powerful inspiration are present along covers of his most admired idols such as Jimmy Reed, Ray Charles or Sonny Rollings. His music is filled with jazz, funk, blues and groove. A good reference record for those of you who are not familiar with Al Jones’ work.
