Singer and piano player Al Copley shines at a very high level on this delightful cd, that all jump, r&b, early r&r and Texas blues fans will greatly enjoy because, this time, he does not make any concession to jazz or groove music Al Copley takes pleasure playing on his more classic style with a backing background that forgets a little bit the guitar to concentrate on bass, drums and an excellent horn section that do a tasteful, claver well done work in all mentioned musical styles Copley skillfully leads the band showing a lot of mastery and self-confidence The cd opens with a cool emotional shuffle, The Last Thing I Needed, and follows with other amazing songs such as the impressive Percy Mayfield’s song Please, Send Me Someone To Love or the nostalgic Smiley Lewis’ Someday In short words, it is an interesting cd that you should certainly not miss
