This is a magnificent solo work by Al Basile (one of the Roomful of Blues members) Al is a singer with a deep powerful voice, besides a great composer and cornet player This record has been produced by his friend Duke Robillard who plays guitar along the album, giving his excellent personal stamp that will satisfy all listeners The horn section is pure dynamite, all arrangements are brilliant, tasteful and convincing, and the whole album has a colorful, happy and joyful atmosphere Besides Basile on vocals and cornet, the band includes Duke Robillard guitar, Mark Texeira drums and tambourine, Bruce Bears keyboards, Brad Hallen bass, Lataille Rich tenor sax, Doug James baritone sax and Sista Monica as guest singer in a gospel cut entitled Make A Little Heaven All songs and horn arrangements have been written by Al Basile Fourteen songs performed with a lot of groove and a superb sound that remains those of 60’s Stax or Hi Records
