Most of the previous Al Basile’s albums received several nominations to the reputed Blues Music Awards Now Basile presents his new album produced by Duke Robillard, who also plays guitar in a couple of songs The recording includes thirteen original songs where Al pleasantly surprises us with his amazing voice and cornet playing, an instrument he mastery controls Basile is backed by a stellar band formed by Monster Mike Welch on guitar, Bruce Bears on keyboards, Brad Hallen on bass and Mark Teixeira on drums, as well as a deluxe horn section that give a bright wrapping atmosphere to the songs where they pla, that includes Doug James, Rich Lataille and Jeff Doc Chanonhouse Al wrote all songs in fourteen days taking his inspiration of those songs performed by legendary Roomful Of Blues, which provided so much fun both to the musicians who played them and the audiences who listened to them, without forgetting the influences that musicians like Louis Jordan, Buddy Johnson, Richard Berry, Albert King, Lee Dorsey or Slim Harpo have also done on him This is a superb, rocky well produced album I am sure will leave a deep impact to anyone who listens to it
