As Barcelona guitar player Agusti Mas tells me, here we have his just born son which comes to the world to delight all his followers Blues Prescription moves away from his previous recording because it drives us closer to a more intimistic blues, including careful well selected and tasteful versions, where he always puts his particular vision and the special flavor he always gives to his performing You will find nine songs, five of them coming from Stevie Winwood, Eric Clapton, Mose Davis, Hoagy Carmichel and Joe Zawinul and four more, two by Willie Dixon and two by Albert Collins Besides Agusti Mas on guitar, the rest of musicians are Maria Almazán on vocals, Jeroni Pagan on keyboards, Rafael Escoté on bass and Pablo Posa on drums, plus the collaboration of Jimmy Mullen on guitar in Albert Collins’ song Lights Are On But Nobody’s Home This is a cool album with a good dose of blues, pop, jazz and exquisite ballads where the band sounds really teamed and the music becomes something magical and effective, thanks to Dr Mas’ wise recipe
