I must confess I am a big fan of this Argentinian blues harmonica player called Adrian Jiménez, a musician who devotedly loves the blues, knows well the style and performs it with conviction and a composure that leaves the listener completely stunned Adrian Jiménez has a vigorous big fat tone with a classic, rich, elegant phrasing that oozes with a technical intensity and a lyricism difficult to find nowadays (with the exception of very few artists) among contemporary blues players Besides, Adrian captures the spirit of Chicago blues with the honesty and respect of those who really love this music over other practical interests In the album Adrián Jiménez is surrounded by some of the greatest names of Argentinian blues, like Gabriel Cabiaglia and Patricio Raffo drums, Mauro Diana and Mauro Ceriello bass, Juan Codazzi, Roberto Porzio Daniel Raffo and Matias Cipliano guitars and the voices of Mauro Diana, Ricardo Tapia, Javier Goffman and Gabriel Gratzer The selected songs include fifteen impressive blues in the most genuine and bright Chicago blues style, played with such a tremendous feeling that will take your breath away
