From Alabama comes the new album of singer and guitar player Adam Holt, with nine original compositions and a wonderful version of Bob Dylan’s song, Lay Lady, Lay that closes a more than interesting and pleasant to listen recording This recording makes us discover the good work of Adam Holt on vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, piano and organ, backed by solid well teamed group of musicians like Owen Finley and Pierre Robinson on bass, Greg Deluca on drums, Lee Yankye on slide guitar, Mark Welborn on pedal steel and Donnie Sundal on keyboards As the album title says, the songs become a mixture of deep genuine roots blues, country, Americana, folk and rock, together with some more contemporary musical touches that round up a happy pleasant but at the same time, intimate and poetic record Once Muddy Waters said that the blues had a baby and they called it rock and roll But if Muddy Waters and Tom Petty would have had a son, they would certainly call him Adam Holt
