Here comes the latest album of the fantastic and essential “Blues Corritore & Friends” collection, a series where Bob Corritore delights us with each volume he releases. The songs come from the massive archives and recordings Bob has gathered over the years, featuring most of the blues legends who have performed in his club, The Rhythm Room, in Phoenix, Arizona, or have been broadcasted on his radio show. Taking advantage of those visits, Bob has managed to record all these icons playing with him, and these recorded gems can now be found in this impressive collection.

With the title of “Ernestine Blues,” this new volume features different sessions recorded between 2023 and 2025, where Corritore’s harp backs some of the finest performers of contemporary blues scene. The fifteen tracks showcase top vocalists like Tony Coleman, Carla Denise, Pat Thomas, Sugaray Rayford, Tia Carroll, Willie Buck, Johnny Rawls, Jimi “Primetime” Smith, Bob Stroger, Charles Wilson and Oscar Wilson. But that’s not all, the backing bands are equally amazing, featuring heavyweights like Teeny Tucker, Bob Margolin, Kid Ramos, Nick Moss, Billy Flynn, Anthony Geraci, Ben Levin, Rodrigo Mantovani, Wes Starr or Doug James, among many others, all of them with Bob Corritore as the master of ceremonies.

The album highlights Corritore’s ability to draw out new and distinct facets of each participating artist. The songs are exciting and powerful, communicating a very special feeling. A repertoire where every musician brings their own personality and vision of the blues, allowing listeners to enjoy a journey from Chicago blues to Mississippi country blues, rhythm & blues and soul, to pleasantly savor in every song a rich variety of textures and nuances.

I can only say thank you, Bob, for sharing these magnificent recordings with us!
