From Minnesota comes the last recording by singer, guitar player and songwriter Mark Cameron, a musician who has been active for more than thirty years. His career began in the 70’s and, during the 80’s and 90’s, he led several more oriented to rock bands. It was at the beginning of XXI century when Mark focused on blues, a style he has not left since then, achieving a remarkable success, thanks to the sincerity and honesty he always puts in all his songs, spiced with his personal sense of humor, as well as a very personal singing tone that make him become a really different and original artist.
This new album features ten Mark’s own compositions that become a good example of the wide variety Mark approaches the many blues facets, from shuffles to jazzy blues, Memphis Stax rhythms and sound, roadhouse blues, traditional blues and even groove, that show the versatility of an artist who knows how to catch audiences with different unpredictable songs.
Mark Cameron is on guitar and vocals, well supported by his band musicians who are Bill Keyes on harmonica and vocals, Sheri Cameron on sax, flute and percussion and Dan Schroeder on drums. On an such a varied album as this one, it could not be missing the collaboration of some guest musicians like bass players Steve Hansen, Nick Salisbury and Josh Granowski, Shane Cox on trumpet and trombone, Zach Miller on tenor sax, Tommy Barbarella on grand piano and würlitzer, Greg Schutte on drums and the backing vocals of Sara Renner and Tonya Hughes.
An unpretentious album with multiple facets, which only aims that listeners fall in love with some quite different and appealing songs, that will let them have a good time.
