Brandon Hudspeth and Jaysson Taylor are two excellent rural blues performers. Hudspeth treasures an excellent acoustic guitar technique, while Taylor has a deep but, at the same time, soft and full of nuances voice, together with a good knowledge of different percussion instruments. Together they form an attractive duo that not only performs classic country blues songs, but also their own compositions, which gives them a remarkable variety and a distinctive stamp that makes them really attractive.

They have been working together for about two decades, which has given them a great musical understanding, as well as having clear ideas about their song’s development, they display with a good dose of honesty and conviction.

This time, they decided to release a live album, recorded on February 15, 2025, from the Central Iowa Blues Society’s Winter Blues Festival, selecting nine songs from that live show, six of them well known classic ones like  “Honey Bee”, “Bright Lights Big City”, “Walking By Myself” or “Spoonful”, together with three own compositions, that confirm these two musicians’ evolution when they present a repertoire that, without forgetting the established tradition, also give an interesting broad vision that makes them become a duo whose music needs to be calmy savored, to discover new nuances in each of the songs.
