The impressive voice of singer, guitar player and songwriter Andrew Duncanson has been compared to the one of artists like Van Morrison, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Junior Wells and even Howlin’ Wolf. For almost twenty years he has led Kilborn Alley Blues Band, and in 2022 and 2023, he also recorded with Dig3. Now he presents his first solo album, co-produced by Michael Peloquin, who also contributes with all horn arrangements, in addition to performing baritone and tenor sax, harmonica and composition.

Along his wide career Duncanson has easily moved through different styles, ranging from the most raw and rough blues to the catching, dancing and sophisticated soul, which makes that all his recordings are deeply appreciated and delightful savored by many listeners who are looking for high quality Afro-American music.

Recorded at Kid Andersen’s Greaseland Studios, who has also worked on the production and performing guitar, bass and other instruments too, this album brings us a magnificent journey through the most bright soul, the totally sophisticated rhythm & blues and the most exciting but, at the same time, deep blues, which will make listeners enjoy each of the thirteen album songs, ten of them Andrew Duncanson’s own compositions, plus a couple of covers of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” and M. Schermer/Bentsongs’ “It’s a Pleasure”, and “What Kind Of A Man” coming from Michael Peloquin’s.

A varied, engaging album, with fantastic and vigorous tonalities, full of good and amazing moments, all magnificently displayed by Andrew Duncanson’s impressive voice and the fantastic cast of musicians who back him so, as you can easily imagine, quality is totally guaranteed in every song.
