The Basque Country always brings good bands to the national blues scene. This is the case of this group named Ibai García Blues Project.

Ibai García is a guitar player and composer with more than ten years of career. He has been guitar player at Lomoken Hoboken southern band. With them he has released two LP’s and has grown up as instrumentalist, becoming an excellent guitar player. Now, and with the experience he has gathered during all those years, he has decided to start a solo career, forming his own band by recruiting some renowned musicians from his area.

This is the first recording of this new group which, although has recently appeared into the Spanish blues scene, it already has the experience, professionalism, knowledge and technique of the great national blues rock bands, which has made them to perform in several of the great Spanish festivals like Arenal Blues, Arrasate or Bilbao Blues.

The album presents ten own compositions that are basically framed in blues rock with some touches of Americana music, accurately developed by this more than interesting group which includes the excellent singer and composer Charlie Santiago on vocals who is also a member of different bands like Goizargi Gospel Choir or Kuttune, Ibai García on guitars, Israel Santamaria on keyboards, Fernando Solla “Fo”, a renowned producer and bass player in groups like Mike Hammer & The Taxi Drivers or Lomoken Hoboken among others, besides backing American artists like Tyrone Vaughan or Khalif Wailin’ Walter on their Spanish tours, and finally drummer Aritza Castro, a session musician and member of bands like Div@s Of Soul, Gonzalo Portugal, Edgar Blues Trio or Blues Morning Singers among others.

All lovers of blues rock made in Spain will certainly appreciate this new band which still have many things to say. And if not… time will tell.
