Terry Donaghue is a singer, songwriter, and guitar player settled in Toronto, Canada. During the 60’s he started to play banjo in various folk and bluegrass bands, later moving on to guitar and mandolin. His repertoire covers styles like folk, roots rock, bluegrass, blues and even rockabilly. For almost twenty years he has sung, played guitar and mandolin with Vintage Debris band, and he has also released three solo albums.

Terry is a big fan of film noir style since his youth, when he used to watch detective television series and films like “The Maltese Falcon”, “Casablanca” or “Double Indemnity”. Al home he also has many books of detective stories written by Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett or Ross McDonald.

For this album Terry has found inspiration in a film noir style movie. Each of the nine songs wants to recreate a scene from a film noir where a man wishes to escape from his past and, on his way, he finds a woman who is also trying to escape from her past, both searching an uncertain difficult to find destination that finally is called Redemption.

Musically speaking, the songs move among folk, Americana and roots music. Terry Donaghue is on vocals and acoustic guitar, Sean O’Connor is on sax, Vezy Tayyeb on bass, Hammond B3, piano, acoustic guitar and synthesizer, Debbie Danbrock on flute, Al Cross on drums and Isabel Fryszberg on vocal harmonies.
