Although Jantso Jokelin is a singer, guitar and harmonica player from Finland, his knowledge of the most traditional dark blues, folk and American country music, make him be an expert singer and songwriter who can rub shoulders with the most outstanding performers of the style.

Over the years, Jantso has become an accomplished harmonica and guitar player, gifted with an enviable technique, as he has devoted himself to deeply broaden his knowledge of these instruments, which led him to win the 3rd. price at the International World Harmonica Contest held in Germany. From then on, he has developed a personal style, that takes us to intimate deep atmospheres, thanks to different songs, perfect to be listened in anonymous whumsical places but that, at the same time, communicate the blues endlessness through true stories that mix fantasy, dreams and a restrained joy.

Janstso Jokelin drinks in the sources of classic rural blues artists like Skip James or Charlie Patton, but he also gets influences coming from more actual musicians like Charlie Parr, Doug MacLeod or Kelly Joe Phelps. Although his repertoire basically includes American music, sometimes it also adds some curious songs that come from places like Mali or the Caribbean Islands.

This is his first solo album where he performs all the songs, vocals, acoustic and resonator guitars, harmonicas, percussion and has written all lyrics, with the only collaboration of Ville Rauhala on double bass and Ville Salonen on banjo in some cuts.

Eleven songs to immerse yourself in a world full of different colors, Jantso Jokelin make us discover with his good technique and a more than real honesty.
