Inspired by the documentary “Take Me To The River” which was produced by Willie Mitchell, brothers Richard and Gary Bolen proposed to producer and sound engineer Boo Mitchell, son of the late legendary producer, to set up with the musicians they usually played with, a super-band whose members had worked and recorded with his father at the well-known Royal Recording Studio in Memphis. Boo was delighted with the idea and immediately contacted several of the great musicians who had been part of the extended family who worked with his father. The result is The Memphis Royal Brothers, a band which takes its name from the studio where they all recorded with Willie Mitchell.

This album includes eight memorable songs that combine the eternal and essential tradition of roots music, blues, rock and Memphis sound, performed by top artists who manage to drive us to a timeless universe of magnificent songs, that will move and make feel alive and happy more than one.
