Besides a big fan who tirelessly works for blues, Mick Kolassa is a prolific musician who never gets tired to compose and recording new albums. If, in his previous works, Mick always wanted to capture the various subgenres of blues, recording acoustic, electric, solo, backed by a band or even with a big band, this time his aim is to include in the same recording most of the blues styles our man deeply knows how to develop and feels comfortable with.

The album opens with “Thank you Memphis” where Mick not only performs the real Memphis sound but also shows his gratitude to the city where he has lived these last years. The listener will be able to enjoy a journey to places like Mississippi with the song “Where Love Takes Me”, the city of New Orleans with the song “Did You Ever Wonder”, the urban blues rock as in “Too Old To Die Young”, again the Delta with the acoustic song “Can’t Sing No Blues Tonight”, Chicago blues with “That Don’t Mean” or country blues with “Bad Decision”, to only name a few of the different places Mick Kolassa drives us with his guitar and voice.

Fourteen own compositions make up this interesting journey, where Mick has counted with some very special colleagues like, among others, Jeff Jensen on guitar, Dexter Allen on bass and guitar, Eric Hughes on harmonica, Bill Rufino on bass, Doug MacLeod on guitar and vocals or James Cunningham and Tom Lonardo on drums, besides a horn section.

An album where Mick invites us to enjoy a musical trip full of an infectious joy and deep love to blues music. Let’s join the party!
