Generally speaking, all musicians tend to evolve over the years, looking for new ways to express their feelings. Derrick Dove does not stay behind and presents an album that he describes as totally personal, where he focuses in some aspects of his life.
Although Derrick has been on the road for many years and does not stop to play in all kinds of clubs and venues where his music is appreciated and loved by the audience, it was not until 2018 that he released his first album. During his long and wide career, he has matured as a musician, gaining in wisdom, and he always tries to improve and take a step forward, without forgetting who he is and where he comes from. On this album he shows all his personality and his passion for the music he performs with conviction and an undeniable commitment.
Ten own compositions give shape to the recording, all of them framed in southern rock, roadhouse blues and country, proposing a journey along the dry Midwest landscapes, with influences ranging from Allman Brothers to Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Derrick Dove firmly leads his band that includes Jame Richardson, Don Hill III and Johnathan “JT” Thomas. Several guest musicians have also contributed to the recording, like Shane Cannon on harmonica, Harry King on sax, Chuck Hutcheson on trumpet and sax, and Lachelsea King on backing vocals.
Dusty and raw roadhouse blues rock for throats which are thirsty of music displayed with strength and a good dose of charisma.
