Vizztone Records publishes Patti Parks’s second album for this label that, un ten songs, confirms her excellent vocal qualities, not only when she sings the blues but especially when she performs Memphis soul, Carolina blues and gospel.

The album has been produced by legendary soul singer Johnny Rawls, who also performs two duets with Patti, the chilling ballad “I’m In Love With You Baby” and “How Much Longer”, a southern swing song. And if that wasn’t enough, Patti has also counted with other deluxe guests, like magnificent piano player Anthony Geraci in the song “DJ’s Boogie”, Richard Rosenblatt in harmonica on an impressive slow track entitled “Hamburger Man”, the powerful voice of Kamira Lattimore and the organ player Aaron Blackmon which perform in the gospel song “Sing Around The World”.

As a curiosity, mention Patti works as a nurse too, and has created a therapeutic program called “Nurse’n Blues” where she combines medical therapy with the blues. This program, founded in 2015, has received a national recognition.

The expressive force and determination she shows in all the album songs should be deeply highlighted. The aggressive and at the same time harmonious style of this passionate singer can be savored along this interesting work that will not disappoint listeners.
