In just four years, young guitar player and singer Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has become a leading figure of contemporary blues scene. Nominated to the Grammys for his first album “Kingfish” and Grammy winner for his album “662”, Ingram has got a unanimous recognition from music lovers and specialized media.

Alligator Records releases a double album recorded live from the famous concert hall The Garage in North London. “Live In London” gathers eight songs in the first CD, while the second one includes nine more. Fifteen cuts come from the two just mentioned albums and the other two are brand new ones. All them become a clear example of the amazing power Ingram displays when he takes his guitar and develops his incendiary guitar solos, that show influences coming from both BB King and Jimi Hendrix.

Listening to the two CDs you will realize Christone was totally at ease that particular night, playing his passionate blues in front of a completely devoted audience, something that will immediately be appreciated for all those who listen to this excellent album, with a repertoire that mixes the most orthodox blues with rock and even some impressive ballads.

In that unbelievable show, Ingram’s vocals and guitar were perfectly backed by Deshawn “D-Vibes” Alexander on piano, Hammond B3 and clavinet, Paul Rogers on bass and Christopher Black on drums.
