Thrilling! Incendiary! Superb!… These are some of the adjectives that could define this recording coming from singer and guitar player Nick Moss featuring singer and harmonica virtuoso Dennis Gruenling. Specialized media have qualified it as lushy, irresistible and spectacular, a recording with the most genuine blues that Nick, Dennis and the rest of the band give us for the joy and delight of my ears, as I have totally been caught after listening to the fourteen songs that round up the album, twelve Moss’ own compositions and two more coming from Gruenling.

A fantastic repertoire where you will find real Chicago blues, as well as the most electrifying West Coast jump, which drive us to those legendary recordings that were published from the 40’s to the 70’s. All the musicians show a mastery and really spectacular blues knowledge, performing a carefully chosen repertoire with an extremely good taste, passion, joy and originality.

A bunch of incredible songs give shape to an electrifying album that will fulfill all listeners expectations. As I have just mentioned Nick Moss is on vocals and guitar and Dennis Gruenling is on harmonica and vocals, while Taylor Streiff is on piano and keyboards, Rodrigo Mantovani on bass and Pierce Downer on drums. For the album they have counted with the collaboration of Sax Gordon on sax and “Brother” John Kattle on organ in the song “Out Of The Woods”.

For those who do not remember, just mention Nick Moss and his band were on tour last year in Spain and all their shows were totally rewarding for most blues fans, so I eagerly recommend to get a cd copy.
