From Doylestown, a small town in the north of Philadelphia, Paul Boddy & The Slidewinder Blues Band are ready to win listeners’ hearts with a mixture of the most actual Texas and Chicago blues.

With seven years of career behind, the band is something more than a group of musicians who play wherever they are called, they have become a real family who share their passion for blues, something they try to communicate in every live show. Not in vain and for years, every Thursday they run a successful jam session where any musician is welcomed, managing to create a special feeling between the audience and all participant musicians. The band has often backed artists like Sonny Landreth or Marcia Ball among others, and they have also participated in a variety of blues festivals like Blast Furnace Blues Festival, MusikFest or Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Festival.

Led by singer, guitar player and songwriter Paul Boddy, you will also find Glenn “The Wizard” Hale on piano and organ, while Chuck Hearne is on bass and Dave Hollingsworth plays drums.

This album gathers twelve songs, ten originals and two covers coming from Elmore James and Leon Russell. “Nosy Neighbors” was recorded during the pandemic and has now been released for the joy and delight of the good fans who love contemporary blues deeply based into the most genuine tradition.
