Here comes the last recording by Altered Five Blues Band. It was recorded in Nashville over five intense days and was produced by Tom Hambridge who, as a producer, has been awarded with three Grammy Awards. Thirteen own compositions show the good work of this consistent group, not only at a composition level but also as fine performers because, not in vain, band singer Jeff Taylor has a deep, powerful voice, which really suits to sing blues. If we add the good work of Jeff Schroedl on guitar, Raymond Tevich on keyboards, Mark Solvenson on bass and Alan Arber on drums, it immediately becomes evident the quality, inventive and magnificent work the band develops. This is their sixth album where the band brings in equal parts the joy and sadness of the times we are living now. You will also find the priceless collaboration of bright harmonica player Jason Ricci in five songs. In short words, this is a recording of excellent contemporary blues where the orthodox forms and sources of the most genuine blues are preserved with real care and taste.
