By publishing this album, Katy Guillen & The Girls confirm they are one of the rock-blues bands with more authority of those ones that use to play in these music circuits Both in dark roadhouse bars or in large crowded events, Katy and her girls show the reason why they have become one of the rock bands with more impact along Kansas City and Missouri area Their raw, crude and daring music is rooted in some blues aspects but, in fact, it covers a rich and broad range of distinct and varied influences difficult to define in a few lines although, if i had to mention some distinctive referents, these would undoubtedly be Jimi Hendrix and The Heartless Bastards Katy shows she is a hardened guitarist and a more than acceptable singer gifted with and intense and overwhelming energy, along a well chosen repertoire that includes some own songs and an acute version of Baby Please Don’t Go Throughout the album Katy feels good and very comfortable, perfectly backed by her two band mates Claire Adams on bass and vocals and Stephanie Williams on drums and percussion
