After three albums in the market and five years since they decided to join forces, the duo and couple formed by Simon Campbell and Suzy Starlite published a few months ago their last work so far Besides Simon Campbell on vocals, guitars and percussion and Suzy Starlite on bass and vocals, Blueberry Pie also features Steve Gibson on drums and percussion, Jonny Henderson on Hammond and Wurlitzer electric piano and Danny Boy Sánchez as a special guest on harmonica in some tracks For this album Simon and Suzy have composed eleven songs where they cleverly combine with an extreme good taste the styles and genres they most love, which can be defined as a combination of ‘British blues’ where you can discover the spirit of Rory Gallagher, Peter Green, Robin Trower and even Gary Moore, with a good dose of country, contemporary folk and blues and a fair amount of Americana This is a convincing recording, performed by veteran musicians who really know where they come from and where they want to go, who give to their songs a selected vision and a good performing, that perfectly suits with the standards actual audiences demand nowadays
