The album “Tribute To Theresa’s Lounge” is an everlasting masterpiece of the most genuine and traditional Chicago blues. Released in June 2026 by Blues House Productions label and promoted by MAC Radio Promo, the recording pays an emotional tribute to the mythical club where Primer himself consolidated his career as a house guitar player. The album rescues the sweaty and electric atmosphere of Theresa Needham’s legendary club as, not in vain, John is surrounded by some living legends such as Billy Branch, Bob Stroger or Carlos Johnson.

The excellent production led by John’s own wife Lisa B. Primer stands out in all the thirteen album songs, as they keep the standards of the genre intact, without falling into fruitless nostalgia. Tracks like “Up In Heah” and “7 Nights For 7 Years” overflow with a direct and raw energy, set by deep bass lines, cutting harmonicas and a masterful slide guitar. Primer’s voice, permeated with the mud of swamps as well as displaying an unquestionable experience, leads the album with a chilling genuineness, which directly reminds his teachers Muddy Waters, Magic Slim and Junior Wells.

In a music market swamped with digital overproduction, this album shines as a living and vibrant document. Undoubtedly, it becomes an essential testimony which proves that the real Chicago blues still breathes with amazing power and energy in the 21st century.
