British singer and harmonica player Paul Lamb has played in Spain several times, last one this summer at Aracena blues festival in Huelva, always with his band in electric format.<\/p>\n

This time he brings us an acoustic album, from a gig in duo format, recorded live from the Temperance in Leamington Spa on April 30, 2023, with Paul Lamb on harmonica and vocals and Chad Strentz on guitar and vocals. Both musicians match perfectly and have an amazing chemistry as, not in vain, Chad has been for a long-time member of Paul’s band and he still is.<\/p>\n

The album features fifteen songs where both musicians pay tribute to some of rural blues great names like Lightnin’ Hopkins, Sonny Boy Williamson, Big Bill Broonzy, Ray Charles with the version of “I Got A Woman” and, of course, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee who are an important source of inspiration for them.<\/p>\n

The album creates a relaxed atmosphere, where one can immediately realize both musicians know each other very well and enjoy the music they perform, communicating their passion and the good work they do, managing to catch listeners, not only for the honesty and simplicity they approach the repertoire, but also for their amazing quality.<\/p>\n

It is always a pleasure to enjoy Paul and Chad\u2019s intimate facet, thanks to a highly recommended album for all those who want to immerse themselves in the poetry, sensitivity, beauty and real atmosphere of the most genuine rural blues performed by two masters of the genre.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
