From northern Europe and, specifically, from Denmark close to the German border, comes the debut album of bass player and composer Rune Robert Friis.

Only aged thirty-seven, Rune already shows a great maturity that makes this album does not seem a debut one. Rune Robert Friis has also surrounded himself with a handful of fine musicians who have already got a prominent place in Danish blues scene like, among others, Perry Stenbäck, Rasmus Stenholm, Chris Grey, Oscar “Big O” Martin Eriksen, Uffe Steen or renowned veteran singer Nils-Ole Poulin, Rune’s friend and mentor.

The album gathers seven original tracks and two covers “Say You Will” and “Dancing In The Dark”, this last one coming from by Bruce Springsteen. The recording provides a good opportunity to discover these remarkable musicians who are practically unknown in Spain who, nevertheless, deserve the attention of any blues lover eager to know and listen how the blues is cooked and displayed in other European countries.
