Micki Free is a singer and guitar player well known among soul circles For over a decade he was member of the famous rhythm and blues band Shalamar, establishing later on a strong solo career, working with renowned musicians like Prince, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Santana, Diana Ross or Janet Jackson So it is not surprising Micki has counted for this album with the valuable collaboration of such deluxe artists like Bill Wyman, Cindy Blackman, Mark Muggie Doo Leach or Howard Hewitt And to round up his musical career he also received a Grammy and has been five times awarded with the Native American Music Awards for his contribution as descendant of Comanche and Cherokee native Indian tribes With all this baggage on his back, it is not surprising this album becomes an amazing compilation of musical virtues in all its facets, from the musical performing to the song selection or the whole final result, where all the arrangements, the compositions and production have been carefully taken into account until the smallest detail, which makes everything sound in the right place, with no cracks or sharp dark corners Ah! And if all this was not enough, you will also find some high voltage blues on it<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
