Swamp Poets is a band led by veteran West Coast musician Christian Michael Berry, an artist with an amazing and impressing musical background behind him who, besides singing and playing lead, rhythm and slide guitars, he dares to play bass on one cut, but also mandolin as well as composing all the album songs.<\/p>\n
The rest of the band includes Tim Whitcanack on keyboards, bass and accordion, Taul Paul Epoch on harmonica, Jim Kelley on bass and Greg “Arizona” Funk on drums. In the album you will also find a good number of guest artists and a horn section that gives strength and a very special stamp to some of the album tracks.<\/p>\n
The Swamp Poets develop a style that could be defined as a mixture of Mississippi Delta music and American roots rock with influencers coming from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Little Feat or The Allman Brothers Band.
