Trainman Blues is the name of a band led by Irish singer and guitar player Richard Ray Farrell and Danish bass player and producer Laust “Krudtmejer” Nielsen. Both feel and share the same passion for Delta music, although they also love soul and roots music, styles they develop in a personal own way, giving to them their personal stamp.<\/p>\n
If artists like Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy or Lowell Fulson were able to use the actual recording and production techniques, their sound would for sure have been quite similar to the one of Trainman Blues, although Nielsen’s love for soul music becomes evident if you listen to this album.<\/p>\n
Twelve well developed songs, performed with a tasteful enthusiasm, where Richard Farrell’s voice powerfully excels, thanks to the strong personality that enables him to communicate a good dose of passionate feeling along the whole recording, together with Laust Nielsen’s good work on bass, guitar, organ and final production, as well as a good line-up of Danish musicians who contribute to enhance an already brilliant and delightful recording.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
