“Two Crows,” the fourth studio album from The Trevor B. Power Band, firmly establishes this New Jersey veteran as an icon of contemporary blues-rock and Americana. Released by Farm 189 Records, this latest work stands out for its introspective approach and a remarkable lyrical maturity forged through complex personal experiences. Across ten original tracks, the recording drives listeners to a gritty but, at the same time, melodic landscape, propelled by Power’s personal raspy vocals.

The album was co-produced by Trevor himself together with multi-instrumentalist Dave Fields, a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee. The rhythm section includes British drummer Steve Holley, renowned for his delivery with Paul McCartney & Wings. Tracks like “Bobby Lane” and the high-energetic “Let It Ride” kick off the track list with a confident stride, while songs like “Ain’t Got No Bread” feature Will Wylde on harmonica, enriching the band’s classic lineup.

The emotional backdrop of “Two Crows” has been heavily shaped by grief. Power wrote much of the material while processing the loss of his brother John and his close friend Bobby Whitlock, the legendary keyboard player at Derek and the Dominos. This journey toward peaceful acceptance can be immediately discovered in reflective cuts like “Our Time Is Short.” Musically, tracks like “Horizon” introduce unexpected textures with a subtle use of flute, tastefully pushing the traditional boundaries of the genre.

After its release, the album got an immediate acclaim, climbing straight to number one at New Jersey Roots Music Report.
