Born in 1984, PD Martin (Piet Vercauteren) became totally bewildered by guitar when he was only twelve years old. Since that moment on, he decided to put all his energies to learn all the secrets of this instrument, so he began to play in different bands covering a wide range of styles from rockabilly to hard rock, blues or bluegrass.

In 2019 he formed his own trio assembling a repertoire of own compositions that helped him to burst into Belgian market and especially among black music lovers. Little by little he has polished his style and now he comes with an elegant funky blues and soul album, where Martín leaves aside twelve bars blues to present eleven high quality songs that he hopes will make him to conquer European audiences.

Now the trio has become a quartet and includes PD Martin on vocals and guitar, Hein Mandos on keyboards, Joris Holderbeke on bass and Rien Gees on drums. The album also includes some deluxe guests like Patrick Cuyvers on Hammond or JB Biesmans on sax among others.

An album that captivates not only for the variety and relevance of the repertoire, but also for the careful song selection and the intrinsic quality of each cut, that will surely catch most listeners from the first notes of this “Soulbeat Incarnate”.
