Born in Saint Louis in 1997, guitar player and singer Matt “The Rattlesnake” Lesch began to play guitar when he was 11 years old. A year later he discovered the blues and started to study the “masters” like Albert King, B.B. King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters or Howlin’ Wolf. Big George Brock was aware of his talent and became his mentor, becoming the lead guitar in Big’s band, which provided him a remarkable stage experience, besides doing several tours in USA and Europe, as well as learning all the blues essence and secrets thanks to an old sharecropper from Grenada, Mississippi.

At the age of 16 he formed his own band, and only aged 20, he recorded his first album “Furious Strike”. Now he is 26 years old, but he already is a veteran, thanks to his blues knowledge, his instrumental technique and the impressive way of approaching the blues. Besides, his live shows are really powerful and communicate a deep feeling that leaves no one indifferent. He has also been member of the European tour of the Chicago Blues Festival together with Marquise Knox, Dexter Allen and Lady A.

Here comes his new recording, where Matt has composed and arranged the twelve compositions that give shape to it. He has counted with the collaboration of a cast of excellent musicians like Chuck “Popcorn” Louden (Buddy Miles, Lucky Peterson) on drums, Wayne Sharp on Hammond B3 and John Davies on bass, together with some deluxe guests like, among others, Gus Thornton (Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnnie Johnson), Taylor Streiff (Nick Moss) or Sean “Mack” McDonald (John Németh).

With this album Matt “Rattlesnake” Lesch confirms the blues is in good hands with musicians like him who, not only deeply knows it but also feels it from the deepest part of his heart and can develop it on a skillful breathtaking way.
