Here comes an interesting duo with Texas singer Long Tall Deb and Anglo-American guitar player Colin John to delight listeners with their explosive blues rock.

Long Tall Deb began her career singing gospel at the local church, although she soon chose other rhythms like soul, blues or rock. After releasing her debut album that received very good reviews, she also developed her talent as a songwriter. Now she is considered a singer endowed with a powerful voice and dynamism. On the other hand, Colin John hardened himself working on tours with artists like Hubert Sumlin, Little Mike & The Tornadoes, Henry Grey, Pinetop Perkins, Phil Guy, Big Jack Johnson, or Gary Brooker of Procol Harum. Their sound includes solid basis of blues and soul, seasoned with elements of Texas blues and roots music, as well as adding an excellent technique and an unquestionable feeling.

Both musicians decided to join forces and now they release their third recording with ten songs, eight of them own compositions and two careful versions, “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics performed with a shuffle rhythm and “Spoonful” coming from Willie Dixon developed in Howlin’ Wolf’s style. Most of the album songs can be framed in blues rock, a style both musicians play with conviction, quality and good taste.

Long Tall Deb and Colin John have counted with Chris Butler on bass and drums and Jason Edwards also on drums and percussion, as well as some very special guests, each one in a song, like Pascal Fouquet on guitar, Alastair Greene also on guitar, Steve Marriner on harmonica, Zac Var on drums and finally Jennifer Milligan on backing vocals. VERY GOOD.
